Website Monitoring is an all-encompassing term for any activity that involves testing a website or web service for availability, performance, or function. There are several Monitoring services that checks and verifies that the site is up and working and site visitors can use the site as expected.
Steer use UptimeRobot as this is a free monitoring service that checks the http service activity and notifies us via email if any of our web applications go down.
Logging
Most software systems have some king of logging system in place which record all sorts of activities including but not limited to errors. The level of logging appears across OS level, through to platform and application levels.
